Erskine Hydrologist Halff Associates, Inc. Summary of Additional Data Required to Support a Conditional Letter of Map Revision Case No.: 00-06-276R Requester: Mr. Walter E. Skipwith, P.E. Community: City of Coppell, Texas Community No.: 480170 The issues listed below must be addressed before we can continue the review of your request. In the submitted hydraulic model for Denton Creek, the revised elevations of the flood having a 1-percent chance of being equaled or exceeded in any given year (base flood) and floodway tie within 0.5 foot into the effective elevations of the base flood and floodway at Cross Section 28870. Please extend the floodplain and floodway boundary delineations shown on the topographic work map enti~ed "Revised (Proposed) Conditions Site Plan," prepared by your firm, dated September 1999, to include cross sections between 23370 and 28870 so that the revised floodplain and floodway boundary delineations tie into the effective floodplain and floodway boundary delineations at the upstream end of the revised reach along Denton Creek. Our review of the submitted proposed floodway model revealed that the model ends at Cross Section 22370. Please extend the proposed floodway model to include effective Cross Sections 23800 through 28870 so that the base flood elevations (BFEs) tie into the effective BFEs within 0.5 foot. In addition, please ensure that the floodway analysis produces maximum surcharges of no more than 1.0 foot throughout the revised reach. Our review revealed that the Cities of Carrolhon and Lewisville will be affected by this revision. Please provide community acknowledgment in the form of letter(s) from the Cities of Carrollton and Lewisville stating that each community has reviewed the revision request and understands the effects of the revision on flooding conditions in the community, or Application/Certification Form 1, entitled "Revision Requester and Community Official Form," signed by a community official from the City of Carrollton and a community official from the City of Lewisville.
