ST9902-CS111205 Halie Hernandez From:Keith Marvin Sent:Monday, December 05, 2011 3:33 PM To:Mike Messerly; KeithDevoe-DFW Assoc; Christina Lawson Subject:Re: 101 Oak Trail Attachments:Fence Invoice.pdf Ms. Lawson, I did received the attached fence quote over the weekend. As we have previously discussed, the city has agreed to move the fence to the newly established property line at our expense. In an effort to proceed with that I secured a written quote from Alpine Fence, here in town, to construct 55 feet of new 8' spruce fence with metal posts stained to match the existing fence. They would then remove the portion of your fence that extends into what is now city owned right of way. The quote to complete this work from Alpine is $1,375. It is my opinion that this product will be the same (or better) quality than the fence that exists today. The city can not fund the upgrade to the fence that you are asking for, and which is represented by the quote attached in an amount more than twice that of the Alpine quote. I have committed to my superiors that this fence will be moved, and the temporary sidewalk installed by Christmas. I am out of time, and need to move forward with this work. I have no choice but to contact Alpine Fence to move forward with the work as they quoted. Keith Keith Marvin, P.E. Keith Devoe also visited city permit TODAY to inquire if we could build under the existing owner fence permit granted .... and they were confused as the front was not granted, but the back fence was permitted...this permit I was told was still open...therefore, if approved and agreed, it would be ideal to allow my family to build with the check going to Devoe, as invoiced. Please advise. Thanks for your efforts, to receive a product which will uphold to flooding, which is bound to happen 1 during the construction...
