ST9902-CS111129 Halie Hernandez From:Chris B. Seely <cseely@tnp-online.com> Sent:Tuesday, November 29, 2011 7:27 AM To:Keith Marvin Subject:Sandy Lake - South Coppell to Denton Tap Keith: We are working on finishing up the Sandy Lake plans and have a few questions. Can you reply when you get time? -Cottonwood Drive: Does the City want to transition this back to asphalt after the curb return? I believe we can get rid of the ditches adjacent to the roadway in this section. -Cottonwood Drive: Currently, we do not have a stamped paving band on Cottonwood. There was a comment about possibly adding one here. I assumes that we will not be adding one with this construction since it did not previously exist. What would you prefer? -Trees at Summer Place: You mentioned that the City Council was meeting to discuss saving the trees at Summer Place. What was the decision on these? I am going to show them to be protected in our plans. -Whispering Hills: We have discussed adding curbs to this area to help keep children out of the street. Currently, we are stopping the paving midblock and would transition the curb down to the edge of pavement. Is that what is desired? We are also planning to change the drop inlets in the plans to curb inlets prior to the connection at Sandy Lake. -Mailboxes: We will remove and relocate the mailboxes and break out the wooden vs. brick mailboxes. I would assume that the few mailboxes that we have would be put in buckets and remain in front of the houses adjacent to the edge of construction. Would that be correct? -Has Ted been able to have the sanitary sewer televised? -We need to have the following water meters verified to see if they are still active: Water meter on the south side of Sandy Lake across from Summer Place o Water meter on the north side of Sandy Lake across from Forest Bend o -Ken had written a comment about adding geotextile fabric over the pipe where it is shallow due to failure history. Do you have a particular minimum depth or method that you like to use for this? -Phase 3 traffic control: I assume you want to switch traffic over to open up both the north and south sides when working on the medians. This is how we typically have done it so that we can have more time working on the hand pour sections and the landscaping. Would this be the preferred method? -Traffic control at Denton Tap: We discussed adding puppy tracks through the Denton Tap intersection during construction and revising as necessary. Is there a different material that you want to use for these or would the 3M Stamar work for this application as well without affecting the existing intersection enhancements? Thanks for your help!
