Mike and George,
I have attached (see the link for download below) the HMS and RAS
models as well as relevant shapefiles for the centerline, cross
sections, and floodplains.
The “existing” naming convention refers to the conditions in 2012 when
I started on the project. It includes the gabion lined channel from
Freeport to south of Bethel, the Bethel Road improvements, and updated
hydrology to include the small detention throughout the watershed.
The “proposed” conditions is inclusive of all the other projects in the
area…..the Coppell Road improvements and small parking lot off of
Coppell Road (north of the creek). There were at least a dozen options
investigated to calibrate down to what we presented in the Coppell Road
improvement plans. I pulled all of those options out of the this model
to simplify and only left what we moved forward with. This should be the
most up-to-date model we have.
This should be all that is needed for the developing engineer to assess
the impacts of their proposed development. If I can be of additional
service in this tricky area, please let me know. I’d be happy to assist
in any way I can.
Have a great week!
