This system will not work for the City of Coppell…. We always upload
bid sets to Bid Sync for contractor download. Bid Sync is the official
location to house/post notices and addendums. I just tried to use your
site to download and buy a printed set and it requires a log in. This is
on top of the log in for Bid sync already in use by the City. Plus
after I registered with one site it turns out that was the wrong one…
and ended up having to register for a different site. Beyond that, when
I got to a page to order prints it specifically states that these
documents are not official bidding docs… then where can a contractor get
the right set?
It seems like Civicast is duplicating work we already perform within
BidSync. BidSync is the official bidding source for the City of
Coppell. I pulled the below images from several other bid documents we
have had in the past. I missed it on the review.
While we are at it… please make the change to the Prebid meeting to be
held at 255 Parkway not 265 and remove the reference to Engineering. And
the Geotech will be included in the contract docs at the end…
Please modify the document such that contractors pick up plans and
specs at our Purchasing Agent office for $100. I will need a pdf
document on Wednesday evening at the latest so we can print on Thursday
and Friday. However I need the NTB no later than Tuesday 10am.
