Phil thank you so much for the letter. Chris Lamere please make sure
we correct Phil’s points below. Phil the storm inlet is connected to an
underground system that drains to the street then into the pond. Not
into the direct adjacent manhole. That is a sanitary sewer manhole. I
believe that answers your question unless I read it wrong. Let me know.

Adam,
Attached is the letter which you requested.
I just went out and walked the site and have a few comments.
1) As of 11 am today no work had been done on the grading for the
swale on our property to channel water from your west retention pond.
Admittedly, the area is still wet from the last rain. When Star
Outdoors does go out there to work on it, can they please simply shoot
me an e-mail so that I can come out and discuss it with them prior to
starting work? If there is a limited amount of sod available, I would
prefer that you just cut the swale and seed it and that the sod be
placed on the SE corner of the site.
2) At the SE corner of the site, you have extended the stone retaining
wall to the east past the sanitary manhole and placed a storm grate
inlet there along with another one further to the east by your east
property line. Thank you. That is what I originally thought was going
to happen. The west grate inlet is pointed towards the sanitary manhole
which I assume it is tied into. Please verify.
As mentioned above, my preference would be to have sod placed in this
area to prevent erosion rather than at the swale at west retention pond.
3) As seen on the attached photo, the volume of water from the last
rain event flowing from the relief hole at the east retention pond had
enough force to erode the sod away which was just placed. When the
grading work is being done for the swale at the west pond, an easy fix
might be to use the bobcat to relocate some our boulders to that area to
slow the flow.

Phil I just confirmed the grade work will be complete tomorrow along
the backside of the wall to the western pond. Chris please make sure
you either coordinate with Star Outdoors or get sod from somewhere else
to immediately put on the swale you grade. Phil would you be willing to
send the letter tomorrow after we grade the swale knowing we will follow
with sod? The reason I ask that is because sod has been running about
2-3 days behind on orders. Would that be acceptable?

Thanks for the good work at our spillway.
I would be happy to if you confirm that:
1) At the west detention pond you are going to cleanup the grading
along the wall on our side and cut a swale from the rip-rap in a
straight line down the hill so that water does not pond, and
2) The work on the SE corner is done as discussed including grading a
swale, rip-rap and a berm by the retail lot.
I am out of town until Saturday but can send an email tomorrow if you
confirm the above.
