Subject: MACARTHUR & BELTLINE PRIORITY CONCERNS
MACARTHUR & RIVERCHASE:
1. A safety officer from the construction crew working on
I-35 said that he was S/B on MacArthur and saw no sign indicating where
he was suppose to turn to get to Beltline Rd. I went and checked the
area. I found the one small sign hidden by trees on the outside
shoulder of the roadway which is far too late to get into the turning
lane. I would not have seen it if I had not been searching for it. It
needs to be moved to the center median and placed just before cars can
get into the turn lane.
2. I saw 3 near collisions at that intersection because
there is no turn signal or sign indicating vehicle are to turn on the
green light. A lot of vehicles are not realizing they are not going to
get a green arrow until the light turns yellow almost red so they try
and turn at the last minute which has nearly caused 3 t-bone accidents
and several rear end accidents from the cars that now have the green
light stopping suddenly.
