RE: Devenshire Estates
Attached please find a copy of the standard detail for 2" water
blowoff, copied from the water/sanitary sewer plans of Devenshire
Estates. I have asked Utilities field personnel to verify
compliance with this standard and the plans and I have been
informed that the blowoffs on the end of Halifax and to the south
of Halifax do not meet this criteria.
As you are aware, blowoffs are used for flushing dead ends and
should be installed on the end of a dead end line. I understand
that the contractor did not want to disturb the asphalt at the end
of Halifax, but the blowoff that was initially installed should be
located and brought up to grade and set according to the
construction plans and standard details.
