Contractor must have a copy of the approved permit from the appropriate agency on the jobsite at all times. 3. All cable will be placed at standard minimum depth. (LEVEL 3 standard is 36" deep unless otherwise directed by a LEVEL 3 representative.) 4. Any landscaping will be replaced to equal or better than that which existed prior to work. 5. Project site will be properly secured prior to the end of each day. 6. All work is to be in accordance with all authorities having jurisdiction in the work zone. 7. Contractors are advised to contact LEVEL 3 for any additional information or clarification concerning scope of work or the requirements necessary for project completion. 8. Contractor is responsible to field verify all dimensions, quantities and existing conditions prior to construction. if a significant change to the running line is needed, please contact your LEVEL 3 representative before proceeding. 9. Before construction begins, contractor shall take appropriate precautions to avoid any potential obstructions prior to proceeding with work. 10. No construction on private pro perty will commence until approval is given by the appropriate LEVEL 3 employee. 11. Contractor shall not proceed with work until they have received a Purchase Order and have been directed to do so by an authorized LEVEL 3 representative. 12. Contractor shall not exceed the Purchase Order value without authorization in writing from the appropriate LEVEL 3 representative. 13. As- Builts will be required for each project including cable footage sequentials at every access point, slack loop, splice location, pole and termination point. Contractor should also provide notes of all changes in depths, running lines, mhlhh locations, and any other applicable notes to depict the work that took place. NOTE: All major changes need to be pre - approved by an authorized LEVEL 3 employee prior to starting the work. 14. Unless specified otherwise, the conduit to be installed shall be High - Density Polyethylene (HDPE) SDR11 duct, Steel, HDPE, or PVC duct shall have a minimum schedule 80 -wall thickness. 15. Contractor is responsible for locating all utilities 48 Hours prior to construction activity. Call Texas One Call System at 1- 800 -245 -4545. 16. Shoring may be required and shall comply to O.S.H.A. Standards. Bare pits left open overnight shall be fenced with orange fence material secured in place by Steel fence posts. 17. The minimum cover in ditches adjacent to Roads, Highways, Railroads, and Interstates is Forty -eight inches (48") below proposed grade. The minimum cover across Streams, River washes, and other waterways is Sixty inches (60 ") below the proposed grade. At locations where the Fiber Optic Cable crosses other subsurface utilities or other structures, The Fiber Opti Cable/Duct shall be installed to provide a minimum of Twenty-Four inches (24") of vertical clearance from the Utility/ obstacle, provided the minimum clearance and applicable minimum depth can be maintained: Otherwise, The Fiber Optic Cable/Duct will be installed under the existing utility/obstacle. Jurisdiction requirements should always be followed. 18. All 90 degree bends in conduit construction will be a minimum 38.2" radius unless specified otherwise. All split conduit bends and solid PVC shall require concrete encasement, unless specified otherwise. The design of the Plowshare shall be such that the buried conduit passing through the Plow will not bind and shall not be bent in a radius less than Ten (10) times the outside diameter of the conduit. 19. All construction and installation work occuring on Railroad Right -Of -Way shall conform to that Railroad's Fiber Optic Standards. 20. Railroad Communication and signal cables to be located prior to construction activity. Railroad to be given 48 hours notice prior to construction. 21. Damage to Banks, Ditches, Driveways and Roads caused by the equipment shall be immediately repaired to the satisfaction of the Engineer and Public Authorities having Jurisdiction over Highway and Road Right - Cif -Way where involved. 22. Intermediate handholes shall be placed at intervals of approximately 1,000 FT., or as determined by LEVEL 3 representative, unless otherwise specified on construction drawings. 23. All work to be done with extreme caution, Fiber Optic Cable carrying traffic and loss of service will result in loss of Revenue. 24. All work to be performed in strict accordance with the applicable codes or requirements of any regulating Government Agency, FTV or the Right-Of-Way Grantor. 25. Locations of some of the physical features were obtained from maps or other drawings, and may be shown or depicted on these drawings_ 26. Underground Utilities have been plotted from available records and field observations, but are not necessarily exact. Therfore, utility locations will be verified at least 122 feet in advance of Trenching or Plowing, so that changes in cable placement can be made in event of conflicts. 27. All known buried obstructions are shown on the construction drawings, any and all others encountered are also the responsibility of the Contractor to locate, protect, and repair, if damaged. 28. Any and all improvements, such as Asphalt or Concrete Pavement, Curbs, Gutters, Walks, Drainage Ditches, Embankments, Shrubs, Trees, Grass Sod, Etc., If damaged, shall be restored to original or better condition.
