Please find attached two (2) bound copies of the above referenced CLOMR application package.
Included are hard copies of the narrative, exhibits, FEMA forms, and a compact disk. The disk
includes a PDF of the entire report, digital copies of the hydraulic models (HEC-RAS), and shapefiles
of the H&H support data and mapping line work.
The project consists of constructing a new bridge over Denton Creek approximately 1,650 feet
upstream of MacArthur Blvd. The attached CLOMR documents the impact the proposed bridge will
have on the stream, as compared to the effective data obtained from FEMA, and the USACE
Update study. Appendix B.2 is specifically provided for review by the Denton County Levee
Improvement District #1(DCLID-1).
The controlling design criteria (DCLID-1) requires no rise in the 100-yr and minimal rise (<0.05') in
the 500-yr flood as determined using the May 2013 USACE Update study for Denton Creek. The
proposed bridge has several feet of freeboard to the BFE, no-rise using the 100-yr USACE update,
and a 0.03' to 0.05' rise in the 500-yr (USACE Update).
The DCLID-1 will be reviewing this application concurrently and the intent is to address any
comments received at the same time. If you have any questions or require additional information to
