The attached review comments need to be addressed prior to "Rclc,l~ (br Construction". When the necessary revisions have been made please submit the following: 1. One (1) set of revised construction plans for final review. After the revised construction plans have been reviewed and approved, it will be time to arrange a pre. construction meeting. The plans will be "Released for Construction" a~ the preconstmction meeting. Please submit the following prior to the preconstruction meeting: 1. Five (5) copies oF the approved construction plans. The General Contractor/Owner needs to contact Mr. Scott Dycr, Senior Civil Engineer, to "set up" a preconsm~ction meeting. Two sets of plans stampext "Released for Construction" will be issued to the Contractor(s) at this meeting. If thc contractor(s) needs more than two ~ts of plans, then submit additional sets to be stamped. It is encouraged to have the Owner or his agent attend the Prcconstmction Meeting. SHEET 26, PAVEMENT STRIPING & SIGNAGE PI, AN * Specify paint not thermoplastic for the pavement markings (per TXDOT paint specs), include revised mil thickness. MISCELLANEOUS COMMENTS * The City of Grapevine's Code of Ordinances shall be adhered to. Special attention should be given to Appendix F, Erosion anti Sedimentation Control. Section F of this ordinance allows the Director of Public Works to issue a "Stop-work order" for any development, improvement, or construction which is in violation of this ordinance. * The developer/owner will be charged a 5% Design Review and Construction Inspection Fee for water, sanitary sewer, drainage and paving improvements within public right-of-way or easements based on actual Construction costs. This fee is due prior to thc City's final acceptance of the public improvements. Construction Contracts are required to he submitted to the City of Grapevine to verify Construction COSTS. Each contractor within the proposed development shall guarantee their work for a period of two (2) years after the date of final acceptance by the City of all public improvements. Maintenance bonds shall be in an amount equal to 25 percent of thc construction costs of the improvements within public right-of-way or easements. This includes excavation/fill for public streets. * The City of Grapcvine's Construction Inspector overtime policy allows the Contractor to work from 7 a.m. to 7 p.tn., Monday through Saturday. No work is allowed on Sundays. Overtime charges of $25 per hour shall be paid to the City by the Contractor for work outside the norrnat work week (i.e. 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday).
