Gentlemen:
We have reviewed the corrected motor data for the proposed 250 hp pump motors, dated July 18, 1996,
submitted by your pump supplier. We offer no objections to the revised motor data, but would like to point
out that the revised data shows a motor approximately 5.5 inches longer than the data originally submitted.
According to the dimensional chart included in the original submittal, the pump and motor base plate is to be
84-inches in length. The concrete pump pad shown on sheet S1 of the plans is proposed to be 84-inches in
length. This leaves no room for adjustment that may be required as the pumps are set. We have discussed this
with your pump supplier and understand they can provide a base plate as small as 75-inches and still
accommodate the larger motor frame as revised. We offer no objections to the smaller base plate if it will aid
in the installation of the pumps. Please be advised that nder no circumstances can we allow the pump pad to
exceed the planned dimensions, nor allow for a smaller opening between the pump pads than shown.
We are returning three copies of the revised submittal with our review stamp. If you have any questions,
please do not hesitate to contact us.

Dear Mike,
I have just been informed by I.D.P. Factory that G.E. Company has submitted on the wrong
motor. They submitted on a RANDOM WOUND instead of FORM WOUND, which is what is
required.
Attached is the correct motor data. As you will note the efficiency is the same at full load and
slightly better at 3/4 load and the guaranteed efficiency is 95.4 instead of 95.2. The full load amps
will increase slightly from 288 amps to 290 amps. The overall dimension of the correct motor is
50.06 inches, which is 5.5 inches longer than what was submitted on.
Provided we get a release for production by July 23, 1996, the delivery for this motor is
September 20th, however, we are expediting this order to get a September 8th delivery or better.
G.E. has placed this order on hold production until such time we receive approval from the
engineer.
As we discussed this morning, with your permission, I will hand deliver these corrections today to
Mr. Gary Hendricks at Shimek, Jacobs, & Finklea.
