CONSULTING ENGINEER'S CONTRACT
MODIFICATION TO THE SCOPE OF SERVICES

AMENDMENT #1
I. Scope of Work
Additional Design for Box Culvert under MacArthur
The ENGINEER shall provide professional civil engineering services, as outlined below, for adding an additional 6x6
box under MacArthur Drive including headwall and storm drain modifications both upstream and downstream. In
addition to design the box, Subsurface Utility Engineering will also be provided to locate potential underground utility
conflicts.
This modification is for additional services associated with the existing contract. The following are anticipated
additions to the scope of work:
• Additional meetings and correspondence with City representatives.
• Additional design Plan and Profile sheet of the proposed box under MacArthur Drive along with
specific structural detail sheets for upstream and downstream connections. Final plans and bid
documents will allow for both an open cut and pipe jacking option.
• Subsurface utility locates to determine the potential for underground conflicts. Quality Level B is
based on a fixed fee amount and will be used to locate utilities in the proposed box area. Quality
Level A is based on an hourly reimbursable amount and will only be used where specific utilities
need to be exposed using vacuum excavation techniques.
II. Schedule
The ENGINEER proposes the following schedule to accommodate ongoing design activities:
• Continue with Design in an effort to meet an end of March advertisement date.
