Attached please find a copy of the variance letter used for the construction of the original paving at the restaurant. In the letter, the geotechnical engineer, Maxim Technologies, Inc., gave options for the Area Paving and Fire Lane concrete. As in the original request, Cooper Industries would like to use the following designs: 1. 5" - 4000 psi Concrete at Area Paving 2. 6" - 4000 psi Concrete at Fire Lanes Please call with any questions or comments. Demon Tap Road Paving Ordinance Variance Dear: Mr. Martin At the request of Mr. O~me Cooper of Cooper Builders, we have reviewed our geote¢Imical report (report number 9906819, dated May 21, 1999) to verify hi~ proposed options for site pavement are in accord with our original geotechnical report. The options requested are listed below: AREA PAVI2qG 5" of 3,000 psi concrete over 6" lime stabilized subgrade 5" of 4,000 psi concrete over 6" smiled and recompaeted sub~'ade to 95% std. proctor 6" of 3,000 psi concrete over 6" scarified and recompacted subgrade to 95% std. proctor FIRE LANES 6" of 3,000 psi concrete over 6" lime stabilized subgrade 6" of 4,000 psi concrete over 6" scarified and recompacted subgrade to 95% std, proctor 7" of 3,000 psi concrete over 6" scarified and ~ecompaeted subgrade to 95% std. proctor The general contractor (Cooper Builders) has requested to be allowed to use 4,000 psi concrete for both Area Paving and the Fire Lane. Upon review of our geotechnical report, we have concluded that ali the options listed above meet or exceed the recommendations stated in the original geotechnical report (9906819).
