Re: Paving at Dickey's BBQ
Dear Mr. Martin:
Cooper Industries is requesting a variance to the Subdivision Ordinance requiring 6" of lime stabilized
subgrade underneath the proposed paving submitted by Doyle Engineering.
Attached please find a copy of the variance letter used for the construction of the original paving at the
restaurant. In the letter, the geotechnical engineer, Maxim Technologies, Inc., gave options for the Area
Paving and Fire Lane concrete. As in the original request, Cooper Industries would like to use the
following designs:
1. 5" - 4000 psi Concrete at Area Paving
2. 6" - 4000 psi Concrete at Fire Lanes
Please call with any questions or comments.
Sincerely:
Coop Industries, Inc.

Dear: Mr. Martin
At the request of Mr. O~me Cooper of Cooper Builders, we have reviewed our geote¢Imical

pavement are in accord with our original geotechnical report. The options requested are listed
below:
AREA PAVI2qG
5" of 3,000 psi concrete over 6" lime stabilized subgrade
5" of 4,000 psi concrete over 6" smiled and recompaeted sub~'ade to 95% std. proctor
6" of 3,000 psi concrete over 6" scarified and recompacted subgrade to 95% std. proctor
FIRE LANES
6" of 3,000 psi concrete over 6" lime stabilized subgrade
6" of 4,000 psi concrete over 6" scarified and recompacted subgrade to 95% std, proctor

The general contractor (Cooper Builders) has requested to be allowed to use 4,000 psi concrete
