Fast efficient set up, relocation and removal combined with versatile, reliable performance are just a few of the attributes that have made Horizon Signal an industry leader. Complete Intersection Control Horizon Signal Systems have the capability of controlling up to 9 traffic phases with up to 16 signals in a single set up. This photo shows Horizon Signals controlling traffic at an intersection. Emergency Traffic Control Applications This photo shows a Horizon Signal System providing emergency traffic control for a weather related mud / rock slide that resulted in one available lane for bi-directional traffic. Multi-Phase Work Zones Horizon Signal Systems have the capabilities necessary to control traffic in the most complicated work zones. From a simple two-phase requirement to a work zone with multiple side road requirements Horizon Signals can provide safe efficient traffic control. Multi-Staged Work Zones Horizon Portable Traffic Signal Systems are the ideal choice for projects that require the signal systems to be relocated during the project. This photo shows a bridge painting project that required the Horizon Signal Systems to be moved multiple times. Interfacing with Standard Signal Systems Horizon Signals can be used in conjunction with existing signal systems. For this application the Horizon Signal is controlled by the permanent street corner controller. This photo show a Horizon Signal being used to accommodate a lane shift for a road repair project. Manual Hand Controller Option Horizon Signal Systems can be controlled manually in a variety of different ways to accommodate specific project requirements. In all cases the manual operation mode employs safe guards to ensure conflicting indications cannot occur. Permanent Signal Knockdowns Horizon Signals can be used to take the place of signals that have been knocked down or rendered inoperable from a traffic accident. In this application the Horizon controller is removed and the interface module added. The Horizon Signal is connected to the standard controller by connecting the interface module to the existing permanent signal connection. Power Outage Applications Horizon Signals are battery powered and solar charged. They are unaffected by power outages. This photo shows Horizon Signals controlling an intersection in place of permanent signal which have been rendered inoperable due to a power outage. Permanent Signal Relocation Horizon Signals can be used to facilitate the relocation of existing signals or the installation of new signal systems.
