This memo is written in response to the Wednesday, February 4, 1998, staff meeting in which
you requested input from various departments concerning our involvement in the IDi
Development.
I am comfortable with the level of review and supervision that Grapevine has provided in the
development and construction of the infrastructure associated with the D/FW Trade Center.
Based on the original agreement between Coppell and Grapevine, my conversations with the
engineer for IDI, and representatives for the City of Grapevine, I see no need for the Engineering
Department to take the lead in the review and approval of construction plans and inspections of
the developments.
