Keith,
Please let me know when you might be available in the next couple of
days to discuss your concerns regarding our proposed contract format.
We would like to be in a posistion to put this project out to bid in the
next couple of weeks if we have a final set of plans and specifications
that everyone is comfortable with.
Thanks,
Matt

Matt,
We are meeting with Halff Associates today. We met with the utility
companies last Thursday. Gas has been relocated. Poles are on the
ground for the overhead build of power, telephone, and cable. I still
anticipate a clear project around 1/1/09.
We will discuss the AIA contracts you sent today. We as a city are much
more comfortable with the North Central Texas Council of Governments
(NCTCOG) standards for public works construction. I will get back with
you on this item after our meeting.

Keith,
Per our discussions last week attached is a copy of our draft
Southwestern Boulevard Project contract format for your review and
comment. I have also attached an example of the general format of the
invitation to bid that we would look to develop for the project. We
would also modify the invitation to bid to break out the schedule of
values between the City's portion of the project and our portion of the
project. With regards to the project specifications, we would look to
incorporate the City of Coppell standard details/NCTCOG Standard
specifications into the project documents to try and assure that all of
the construction will meet your standards. Dave and I are still
coordinating on the format of these documents and will get them to you
for your review as soon as they are available.
Once you have had an opportunity to review the attached please contact
me to discuss.
Thanks,
