Here are the numbers the engineer came up with.
Please provide me a unit price for Hydromulch in per square yard format. You will be responsible for the establishment of grass, not just spraying it once and leaving it, so make sure
you include that in your unit price.

I show about 650 SY for that area cleared to lay the pipe.
Between Sidewalk/Curb: 1550 SY
Behind Sidewalk: 2400 SY
Channel: 6500 SY
Offsite Drainage to Channel: 650 SY
If you are sod back of curb to sidewalk, here is what I calculate:
Sodding: 1550 SY
Hydromulch: 9550 SY

I assume he means the pipe that runs east from Coppell Road to the channel. They obviously had to disturb that area to build it.

James is no longer with JRJ, so I am still trying to find the
information he used when he sent you the change order request for the
channel excavation.
On another note I have had my guys do a takeoff of the grass quantities
on this project per the plans. between the curb and sidewalk there is
1645 square yards, from the back of sidewalk to the daylight grading
line there is 2621 square yards. Our contract quantities are 2300 square
yards so we are short quantities for the street. This does not address
the offsite storm drainage going to the channel or the channel itself.
These quantities are 5867 square yards for the channel and 1822 square
yards for the storm drainage work.
I am being told that Rick only wants sod between the back of curb and
sidewalk and hydromulch for the rest of the areas. With that said we
have enough quantities for the sod but no pay item for the hydromulch.
I am about to head out to a precon meeting, I wanted to bring this to
your attention now and I will call you when I get back to discuss
further.
