Ms. Petitt,
The attached email was sent to FEMA on September 22, 2008 as part of a
protest for the proposed floodplain maps. We submitted this prior to
the construction of the channel behind your house. When we complete the
Coppell Road construction we will also submit for a letter of map
revision. We were simply trying to eliminate the Zone A when the new
maps come out. The new maps have not come out yet, so I don't know if
FEMA has accepted this protest or not.
The data included has a map showing your finished floor information,
and a calculated Base Flood Elevation (BFE). The map is also signed and
sealed by a licensed professional engineer. This should contain the
information you are looking for. It indicates that your home is more
than 2.5 feet above the calculated BFE. This should be enough to remove
your structure from the floodplain.
Feel free to call me with any questions.
Keith
