Subject: Emergency Water Connection
Your letter of November 2, 1995, concerning entering into discussions with the City of
Coppell for establishing an emergency water supply connection between our two cities has
been received and reviewed by City of Irving staff.
The Irving Water Utilities staff has been authorized to visit with Mr. Pafford of your staff to
explore the feasibility and desirability of your proposal. As you know, we are currently
occupied with a number of priority water utility items, such as the construction of Supply Line
No. 3 from the City of Dallas, and the Cooper Reservoir Project; however, we will look
forward to working with Coppell on this and any other matters of mutual concern.
Irving staff will be contacting Mr. Pafford sometime after the first of the year as we begin to
resolve our critical and time sensitive issues.
