Possible water leakKeith – Rick…
Sorry I haven’t gotten to this sooner. I have been helping my son out
at Wise County getting their new fleet of police interceptors outfitted
and leave very early and get home late and tired.
I have been noticing a small leak in the middle of South Main street
just before you get to Houston. It is approx. 10 feet past the fire
hydrant and almost in the middle of the street. I have noticed this for
several months but I thought it was run off from the sprinklers. Last
week I stopped and actually got off my truck and looked at it. It
appears to be coming from between a small crack in the concrete. It
doesn’t amount to much but since it has been going on for so long, I
just wonder what it is doing to the ground below the pavement. During
the day it’s not as noticeable due to evaporation but in the evening and
late at night its more prevalent and you can actually see a water puddle
several feet in diameter. Like I said, since its been going on for so
long, I thought I’d best let you know so you can get someone to look
into it before you end up with a sink hole in the middle of the street.

PS. Thanks for getting the creek cleaned up…too bad you couldn’t get
anything done about the back property and all those fallen trees and
weeds.
