Re questionJean, I do believe those signs are allowable during construction. Make sure the businesses obtain a permit from Building Inspections.....no cost for the permit. I will have Mindi or Keith advise otherwise if I am incorrect. Wanted to check with you for our old town group to confirm that we can still have the feather banners during the time that Bethel Road is closed or closed one-way. Since the road is not totally closing, wanted to be sure it's still okay. It's really hard to tell that the businesses are open with all the activity, and soon the lanes will start to close. Other than that, everyone seems very happy with the relationship with the construction group, Keith Marvin, etc. It helped to talk before it began. The flag signs on W. Bethel look great, Sharon. Also, wanted to be sure you know about the Witness Tree program that the Historical Society is sponsoring on March 10, 1 p.m., at the library. We will have an expert there, along with John Elias, to learn how to identify and measure Coppell's oldest trees, ones that have witnessed history for the longest period. I wondered if you or the mayor could mention this in your announcements at the next Council meeting. Hopefully Sharon can use this info. to include in any City mailings and more data will be in this week's paper. Thanks, Jean Murph
