John,
Sheet TS-2 calls for all the poles to have T-bases,
Astro-bracket mounted signals and vibration dampers.
Sheet TS-3 has conflicting information. The notes on
the left call for the poles to have a 36-A foundation, but the table
with the pole numbers P1,P2, etc… have the appropriate foundations for a
TXDOT pole. P1 is a 32’ mast arm and the table has its foundation as a
30-A, which would be correct per TXDOT>
1. Are these poles to be TXDOT?
a. Your email to Mandy states the project engineer wants TXDOT
poles but with modified hand hole to accommodate the decorative base
b. If that is so, we will need clarification that a 30-A
foundation is going to be ok.
2. Since they call for ASTRO-Brackets, should these be called out
as type II or Type III mast arms?
a. Are the arms MOD A?
i. If so, do
they know that a 32’ arm will be 31’ long due to the deletion of the end
tenon?
ii. Or do these
need to be engineered 32’ long?
3. This was not quoted for any type of Vibration Damper.
a. How should we proceed in light of this information?
This order has been placed on hold pending receipt of the above
requested information. The estimated mailing date for the print approval
drawings will be 2 working days after we receive the required
information.
Please call if you have any questions or require further clarification.
Thank you,
