RE Channel MaintenanceThanks Keith…
I am still curious as to why there was a City of Coppell front-end
loader cleaning out the channel adjacent to Royal Ln. which in essence
is part of the same channel I keep “harping” on. That channel runs along
Royal which takes the run off from the DFW property bordered by Bethel &
Royal. It turns east of Bethel and takes the run off from the USPS and
warehouses along Bethel. At the junction of Bethel and Freeport Parkway
to takes on the additional run off from the north and south industrial
areas which now drains into the existing creek/channel. This
“channel/creek” is no different than those others we find throughout
Coppell that drain into Grapevine Creek or other water bearing creeks
that ultimately empty into the Trinity. I have researched the “Waters of
the Americas” at the Corps of Engineers website and cannot any
justification for not keeping this channel cleaned like the rest are.
Just saying….

Just to let you know, we have a contractor that should be out there
cleaning up the trash and debris in the channel adjacent to your homes
beginning this week. Sorry it has taken so long to get this done.
