Andy and Troy,
I spoke with Michael Arellano, Chief Building Official, and we do not
have any issues with the 30” retaining wall shown.
A permit would be required. Michael indicated that the permit for this
and the metal fence could be one permit.

Hi Matt,
Attached is the our model home landscape plan for your review. This is
the as-built plan and due to the final grade we now have the need for a
30” H. brick landscape wall to make the side yard functional and
attractive. The brick on the wall will be the same as the house brick.
Greg Yancey felt we should send this to you for approval since the
landscape wall was not included on the corner lot concept plans that was
put together during the PD approval process. The original concept plan
was put together so early in the process we didn’t anticipate this
difference in final grades, the city walk moving and we didn’t even know
which floor plan we were going to build on this lot. So all of those
items were different on that original landscape concept plan. We feel
this as-built plan will look incredible!
I have included Troy Rohr, our Regional Director of Construction on
this email. He would be glad to meet with you and provide any additional
information you may need. We are very excited to get the amazing
streetscape on S. Coppell Road completed.
