RE Oncor Easement in Coppell for DFW Noise Monitor (5)Cliff,
The electronic equipment was removed at 11AM today. The boring
equipment got on site mid-afternoon today and trenching to set the bore
has been done. I worked with Coppell Building Department on and off
today regarding the electric green tag. We had a question about
government to government payment. I will be using EAD’s P-card first
thing tomorrow morning to get that out of the way and will open the
environmental box to give Chris Mayeux access to the phone lines within.
Chris is working with the Building department to arrange the green tag
inspection as soon after the pole is relocated as possible. If he is
successful the meter can be installed as soon as Oncor connects the new
electrical feed line.
Best regards,
Harv

Checked the site and found that no Oncor Trenching has been
accomplished.
Please revise / update the schedule.
We noted that the electrical meter has been removed.
If power and phone have been disconnected there should be no reason to
delay the equipment relocation ?
Please advise

Chris,
I was happy to hear that your contractor is prepared to begin work
tomorrow. We have authority to build the pier and attach the noise
monitor pole. A copy of the approved ROW Use Permit is attached along
with the Utility Relocation Checklist and Completion Verification
Notice.
The unanticipated delay we are experiencing is due to the City’s
reasonable requirement for Oncor to acquire an easement from it before
laying a power line along the selected route. The Council will meet on
Tuesday 10 September on this issue. The revised schedule follows:
September
Day/Date
Mon/2 Holiday
Tue/3 Organization
Wed/4 PMC begins pier construction. Verify City
inspection requirements
Thu/5 PMC pour pier.
Fri/6 PCM - Backup day for pour.
Mon/9 PCM - Pier cured
Tue/10 City Council approves Oncor’s utility easement
Wed/11 Oncor begins trenching
DFW pulls electronics from noise
monitor assembly
PMC – relocates pole to new pier
Thu/12 Oncor lays conduit and pulls wire
DFW replaces electronics in noise
monitor assembly
Oncor connects lines and powers up
Fri/13 Backup day
For Verizon, Mike, can you get your line in from the source to the
noise monitor between this week and Thursday the 12th of next week so
that the wire can be pulled into the environmental box and connected to
the phone board that day? You will be cc’d on all pertinent email
traffic so that if there is a delay you, like everyone else, will know
in advance.
If any of you have any questions about, or problems with, the schedule
above, please bring them to the attention of Cliff Macon or me as soon
as possible.

Gentlemen,
Good morning. Have these issues been cleared up? Has the permit for the
new foundation been issued? My contractor is scheduled to start tomorrow
and I will need a copy of the permit and contact info to schedule the
City of Coppell for inspections. Please let me know where we stand so I
can schedule accordingly.
Thank you respectfully,

Subject: FW: Oncor Easement in Coppell for DFW Noise Monitor
Good afternoon Gary
Apparently Keith told Aubrey Allen that Oncor’s easement in the City’s
ROW for providing power to the noise monitor will take City Council
action. Is this true? We would be unable to begin trenching until 11
September.
Keith’s map of the area shows a sewage and a water line. Does the City
provide a location and marking service to help us miss them when we bore
for the pier foundation and when Oncor digs the 24” trench to the site?
Verizon anticipates trenching in the City Utility ROW along the east
side of the creek between Bethel and the monitor site. Any land owner
issues remaining?
Sorry to dump all this on you. Let me know what I can do to help.
Best Regards,
Harv

Harvey,
Below is about the easement that was sent to the City for approval.
They are saying it needs to go beofre Council on Septemebr the 10th.
You might call Gary with the City and see how he feels about this.
Thanks

Jerry,
Approval of this easement is going to require Council action. I can
schedule it on our next meeting agenda on September 10th. I have a few
questions on some of the language. Do you want me to send that to you,
or someone else?

I'll review the request and get back with you.

Subject: Oncor Easement in Coppell for DFW Noise Monitor
Hello Jerry,
This is for a DFW project that needs attention. DFW has
a noise monitor in Coppell that is on private property that needs to be
relocated into ROW. But before that can be solved with a permit there
needs to an easement granted on City Property (see attachment). I was
hoping you could get this request to the City of Coppell. Again,
hopefully the City will work with DFW and grant this easement. Will
serve the noise monitor by coming down the 5' easement into City ROW
where the new noise monitor will be located. There is a transformer
serving a transformer on City property that we will use for service to
the noise monitor.
1) See drawing DFW Noise 5ft Easement Request
2) See drawing DFW Nosie Monitor Service… see sheet 2
of this drawing.
Thanks
