Re: Village Parkway Pump Station Expansion
Water Distribution System Conversion
Dear Mr. Griffin:
As you requested, we have converted the City of Coppell's existing KY Pipe Water Distribution System data
into the Cybemet model format. The conversion includes data from the existing system, the year 2004 system
and the year 2014 system. The Cybernet models were developed from data provided by the City of Coppell.
We did not attempt to revise the data provided by the City or otherwise analyze the water system. However, we
did notice a few geometric problems with the data set provided and made the necessary corrections. We are
enclosing marked up copies of the water map sho,~ing the corrections we made. In addition, all water lines in
the data sets provided, regardless of age, size or condition, were set at a roughness coefficient of c = 120. For
some of the older and smaller diameter lines within the system, this may not be an appropriate c value. We did
model the Village Parkway Pump Station, adding in piping for the suction header, discharge header and surge
relief line. Those elements were not in the data sets provided.
As there are other items conceming the model we would like to discuss with you, we would appreciate the
oppommity to present what we have completed. At your convenience, we would be happy to set up a
presentation in your office using your Cybemet software, or if you prefer, we can show the models here at our
office. Each completed model has over 900 pipes and therefore we recommend a version of the Cybernet
program which can run at least 1,000 pipes.
We are available to discuss this project further at your convenience.
Sincer s,

Water Distribution System Conversion
Dear Mr. Griffin:
We are delivering two electronic disk each of the City of Coppe!l, Water Distribution System analysis data
which we have converted to the Cybernet model format. The attached Table No. 1 shows the files created
from the KY Pipe data provided by the City.
The 1995 data set with system improvements was not originally provided; however, the improvements were
described in the analysis report. Using the analysis report information, we were able to create the existing
system model which includes the proposed improvements. Table No. 2 shows the recommended
improvements to the existing system and the assigned Cybernet line number.
We are available at you convenience to discuss this project further.

database files are automatically filed in drawing file .CYB subdirectories.
