RE DRCHi Marcie: The sidewalks on Houston and Travis have us in limbo. I think we need Planning and Engineering to concur on their preferred design. Keith wants to leave the light poles as –is and we concur. I cannot move the transformers due to (1) line-of-sight issue and (2) 10’ minimum distance from the home by Oncor. The plans don’t coincide because we need direction. We think there will be very little pedestrian traffic on these two walks. Unlike the other areas of the project where there is angled parking adjacent to the walks, there is no parking in these two areas. Other than the occasional City event, there is little pedestrian activity expected. We agree with Engineering that the Oncor lights should stay as planned. We prefer to leave the area back-of-curb as turf with overstory trees (cedar elms) to match the rest of the development. That provides shade along the street and keeps the tree root zones away from the homes. Glad to draw whatever we need to do. I think our engineer showed only a 4’ walk but I believe we presented a 5’ minimum in the PD. Thanks, Gregory K.
