But - The specs are not clear as to what we are installing. There are references to several manufacturers as well as Motorola. The plans that were issued for construction have absolutely no detail whatsoever. The Motorola references are also contradictory so I'm at a loss as to what the city actually wants. There may be some cost associated with this as the specs say several different things. For example - both AC and DC Motorola controllers are mentioned and the cost difference is substantial as DC controllers will require latching solenoids for all valves and the controllers incorporate solar panels. Also - nowhere can I find Arad flow meters / master valves mentioned on the plans or in the specs. These are also a integral part of the motorola system. Under "acceptable manufacturers" there are 7 others listed as acceptable as well. On the plans it says electrical contractor to supply power off lighting system but on item 4 of "installer requirements" it says DC controller. Then under item a2 under "irrigation specialties" it says irrinet m AC controller. Then on the plans in the item descriptions it has a master valve with a hunter flow sensor which suggests it is to be a hunter central or 2 wire system. It also suggests a power supply for the on-site weather station connected to the control which also does not suggest a Motorola system is to be installed because that would be a part of the motorola base control system. Please don't take this as argumentative - I just want this project to go smoothly and for the end result to be a successful project we can all be proud of. Please let me know when we can all meet to discuss these issues and get this thing figured out!! Thanks - James Doyle Superscapes Landscaping, Inc. P.O. If so can you copy all of us herein please?) > > I am including in this email pdf’s of the drawings and an addendum which will relocate Controller no 1 for your use to be formally issued in the next few days. As I understand from Mr. James Pole who is a licensed Irrigator that we use for consulting, the Inter-spec requires some coordination with the manufacturer in order to get the right part number. I am asking you to coordinate the controller number directly with the manufacturer. Steve, Jon or Deby – can you please contact the contractor – Mr. Doyle and assist with this effort to get the correct controller.
