Vapor BarrierHi Valerie:
Could you please define exactly what is required? Inclusion of a
geotextile fabric implies that we would also install an aggregate layer
beneath the slab. We typically place the vapor barrier on site fill or
select fill.
If utility trenches will require some sort of barrier, we need a
drawing as well. We need to make it clear to a prospective buyer what
the limits of this work would be since the VaporBlock guidelines will
raise questions.
The buyer is ready to present this to his contractor this week to
discuss whether this site remains viable. We need something on your
letterhead stating exactly what is to be performed. We also need to
state that notice to employees and/or the public is not required.
Thanks,
Gregory K. Yancey
