RE Can you confirm this address in 9-1-1 (4)Given my recent experience with Verizon, I am at a loss as to how they
survive.
I asked the tech to go to lunch while I went to Ace today to buy a shovel so
I could dig for our service drop to cottage 12.

Greg,
We seem to be at a loss as to how this is occurring. I talked to Rick
Fielding, and he indicated it could be simple data entry error on the part
of their technicians.
Are you still being held up? I can contact our Verizon contacts and see if
they can resolve the issue.

John,
I do not have a contact that does the function you are requesting. The MSAG
is an aggregate record of the block range supplied. It is independent of
specific address, therefore I am not involved in telling Verizon a specific
address exists, only that there is a street somewhere in Coppell with the a
particular name and its block range. Even if the block range does not exist
to include a particular address, i.e. if it did not have a high enough upper
limit, they would request that I validate this is a correct address and
extend the block range as necessary by submitting a form to them, but the
street would already exist in their database. This also does not stop
someone from having phone service that I am aware of at this point. To that
end I don't have a contact with anyone that would provide recognition for a
specific address. Also, re-reading the email, we at the PD as it relates to
9-1-1, have no validation process with ONCOR at all as a general function.
If someone needs to know a location exists, they would be directed to
building inspections for specifics.

Randy,
Is there a way for us (Engineering) to contact Verizon 9-1-1 and talk to
someone about the issue they are having verify a good address we have in the
Old Town area? That might allow Verizon to recognize the issue faster so we
can get some resolution on this.
Thanks,
John

John,
The limit to our involvement with addressing is notifying Verizon 911 that
there is a new street and the complete block range. Individual addresses are
independent of this function and outside the scope of what we submit. We do
not submit information for street recognition that would affect specific
addresses. I will check the MSAG, but submissions are for complete and all
inclusive block ranges. Generally starting at the low end of the block up to
the upper platted extent (700-799 probably in this case).

shows a mistake for this property? Can you verify what Verizon/Oncor have

I asked Rick Fielding at Oncor for help getting my underground for 705 and
713 Main.
He said the notes showed the construction group could not find it, their
work order said East Main. Rick changed it for me.
Verizon call center tells me yesterday they show East Main as well and said
that they get their addresses from the 911 system. He told me he couldn't
change it.
Since I ordered the electric and phone service, I'm certain I gave them
correct addresses.

Can you verify if Verizon thinks 711 Main St. is on East Main? I think that
is the issue. Greg Yancy did not specify the franchise utility in his
e-mail. What I sent you is clipped directly from what I got.

Hi John,
I'm not aware of anything on my end that will affect this. My data sent to
Verizon is the limited to basically telling them a street exists and the
block range, this is all without a location, so my street information could
actually be anywhere, Verizon gets that another way. They only need me to
verify the existence somewhere. This is also independent of specific
parcels, it's a generalized record. This may be a building inspection issue.
Let me know if there still seems to be something I need to do. Also, the
"franchise" is this cable, telephone, electric? Just curious. Any how, I'm
glad to help however I can. I'm teaching a class at the library this week,
so I'll check my email off and on.

The following e-mail came in from the developer on this address. Can we fix
this for him so the franchise utilities may proceed?
Please let me know if I need to alter something in the 9-1-1 date to make it

The franchise utilities are getting delayed because they show Main Street as

It is affecting the Entry Feature, Cottage 11-13, but I don't know of
anything else.
Could you please send this to the proper party at the City?
