FW FTP SiteLadies and Gentlemen;
See below e-mail information between Ms. Schmid and Mr. Adalpe.
Please follow instructions to enter FTP site.
Ms. Schmid has emphasized that everyone should consult their IT
support before making any registry changes and that the solution
provided is only for the Windows 7 and Internet Explorer 8 environment.
Hopefully, this can help.
Thanks,
Gary G. Gilmore

Hi Robert,
Yes, you have permissions to enter the FTP site with the login
information as shown:
For Contractors, utilities, etc: ftp://SH121-EDAO-RO@ftp.txdot.gov
<ftp://SH121-EDAO-RO@ftp.txdot.gov>
Username: SH121-EDAO-RO
Password: 87XRM26
I believe the issue originates with some of your Internet Explorer
settings. This seems to be a common problem from my searches on the
Microsoft web site and support forums. Google Chrome also can interrupt
IE from working correctly with FTP sites.
There is a registry fix that I have attached for you. Please consult
your IT Support before making any changes to your registry. (this is my
disclaimer) This registry fix is for Windows 7 and Internet Explorer 8.
1. After you backup your registry, save the attached file to your
desktop.
2. Rename the file to a .reg file
3. Double-click the file to run. You may be prompted to confirm
making changes to the registry. Again, please consult your IT support
before taking this action.
If this does not work or if your IT Support is not comfortable with
performing this registry change, I suggest that you use an FTP client
software. There are free ones, such as FileZilla.
Please let me know if you are able to do any of the above and what
works best for you.
Thank you.
