Sandy Knoll and Vanbebber drainage studiesGentlemen, For your review are attached the revised drainage analysis of Sandy Knoll and Vanbebber Road projects. The Sandy Knoll street flow and inlet calculations show a maximum street depth over top of curb of 0.10 feet. This depth can be contained in the R.O.W. Included is an analysis of the existing storm drain line in Sandy Knoll that includes the two new inlets to be constructed in Willow Springs Drive. Computation sheet HGL#1 indicates the existing line inadequate to carry the addition inlets and that all three inlets at the Willow Spring/Sandy Knoll intersection will surcharge. Beginning HGL was taken from record plans and no inlets were added in Shadowcrest Lane. A change in either would alter the results. If it is desired to keep the inlets from surcharging the existing pipe may be increased as shown in computation sheet HGL#2. Estimated construction costs to upsize the line are as follows: 425 LF remove & dispose existing RCP at $10/ft 280 LF install 24" RCP at $62/ft 145 LF install 30" RCP at $70/ft Total estimated construction cost $32,000 Vanbebber Drive was changed to a 34' back-to-back street. Calculations show top of curb overtopped at several inlets, with the maximum being 0.15 feet (inlet #6 will be replaced with a 10’ inlet). This depth can also be contained in the R.O.W.
