Willow Springs Vanbebber projectGeorge,
I am inquiring if the City has registered this project with TDLR for
review and inspection in accordance with the Architectural Barriers Act.
This is required for a project were the estimated construction cost of
the pedestrian elements is $50,000 or more.
Estimated cost for sidewalk and curb ramps for Vanbebber is about
$45,000.
If Vanbebber could be considered stand only, it would not have to be
registered.
However, since both streets could be awarded under one contract, it
could be interpreted as a single project, and the total cost of
pedestrian elements of both streets will surely exceed $50k.
Not sure how TDLR would interpret this situation?
Does the City have any policy regarding this?
Plans must be submitted no later than 20 days after advertisement for
bids.
Thanks
Louis
