FW Northlake Dams Maintenance Bid

Per our phone conversation, I propose the following request for
my services:
$40.00 per hour at a minimum of 10 hours a week,
I will perform daily inspections of both dams Monday through
Friday
I will perform quarterly inspections of both dams
I will perform any and all maintenance to the irrigation system
I wiil perform quarterly Piezometer readings
I will purchase all parts used in maintaining the dams and
invoice you for those parts at no mark-up
At no time will I purchase more than $300.00 worth of
parts without prior authorization
An entire sprinkler head costs approx. $425.00, but the parts
that usually require replacing are much less than that. O-Rings are
about $2.00 each and solonoids are approx. $100.00 each. Replacement
nozzles are also inexpensive.
I will also maintain records of all of the functions I am
involved with.
I also monitor earthquake activity in the North Texas area. I do
immediate inspections when an earthquake encompasses the dams area.
I will provide the City of Coppell with a monthly invoice of my
hours and expenses (if any).
I use my own vehicle and pay for all maintenance it requires at
no expense to the City of Coppell.
The only time I will exceed 10 hours per week is if I am irrigating the
dams. I use a "moisture meter" to determine when irrigation is
necessary. I irrigate each station (there is a total of 18 stations),
for a minimum of forty five minutes each. During the time of irrigation,
I will irrigate all stations at least once per five day work week and
sometimes two times per five day work week.
To provide power for the 480V "hard start" pump that is used to pump
water from the lake, I use a 150 amp gererator from Holt Cat in Irving
at a cost of 1,725.00 per month My contact is Steven Watkins at

Mowing of the dams is done on an "as needed" basis. The cost is $816.00
per mowing. The charge is $42.00 per acre. The contractor I use is: RLC
