RE North lakeKeith,
The only thing we’re missing is your feedback and input on the contract
documents, primarily all the contract language, schedule, and such. We
have not received TCEQ approval, but they’ve been dragging for some
reason. We received one round of comments and replied to those back in
May. Patrick is trying to get them moving. They normally are much
quicker when they know a bid is coming up. We only legally need their
approval before construction starts and since we already have their
comments, there’s no need to wait on them to start the advertising
process. That will work through your normal processes.
Our current contract went through the bid, so we’re covered. We’ve sent
you a proposed contract for the general representation assuming you were
handling the daily inspection. Assuming that hasn’t changed, we’ll need
execution of that sometime before construction starts.
I’d be glad to come out and talk over any comments or the front end
documents if that’s helpful to you. Do you need any new copies?
Thanks,
John

John,
I just heard from our City Manager that we are expected to have the
purchase finalized today. What do we need to do at this point to move
forward with the bidding process?

The documents were approved by Council last night. All parties have
signed and the check is being processed. I've asked the Finance Director
to let Keith know when the sale is final so Keith can let you know. I
will be out of the country till August 12th.
Almost there
Ken

I didn’t hear anything since 7/12 so I’m assuming yet another
hang up snuck in the way of closing. Assuming we are close, is there
anything I can do with respect to getting ready for the advertising and
bidding process or our proposal for construction phase services?
Thanks,
John

I know it sounds like a broken record, but our attorney assured
me Tuesday night that documents were finally signed and the actual
execution of the sale will take place tomorrow (7/12).
I’ll verify with you once I have official notification that we
are the owners of the dam.

Hadn’t heard anything so I was checking to see what the latest
hang-up was on the North lake acquisition. Weren’t y’all supposed to
close in early July?
Anything I can do to help?
Thanks,
John
