RE Addenda - Northlake Dam (2)The designated borrow sites are required to be used. The estimated
configuration of the borrow portions of the embankments are to be
adjusted as needed to provide the required compacted fill, with approval
of the final configuration by the Engineer.

In response to Question #5, If we do not need the total amount
of borrow generated by this modification are we still required to
excavate to the limits shown and haul of any excess material.
As indicated on Sheet C-15, the proposed excavation is for
estimated quantities, and adjustments may be necessary according to the
quantity of compacted fill needed. The proposed limits shown on Sheet
C-15 may be modified. However, the required minimum downstream slope on
the saddle dam is 5 horizontal to 1 vertical (5:1).

small change actually. He realized that the design of one of the
retaining walls was overly conservative and is working on modifying two
sheets in the drawings. We'll get the documentation drafted up and sent
over to you guys early afternoon.
