RE Earthquakes In North Texas and OklahomaIt has thawed out quite a bit today. I was surprised. I was able to
drive clear out to the saddle dam. The lake level has come up quite a
few inches which kind of surprises me as we only received a couple
inches of rain.

On Saturday there was a 4.6 earthquake with an epicenter
near Oklahoma City. It went five miles deep. That is about the biggest
quake that has hit this area. Last night there was a 3.6 quake with an
epicenter near Azle. I do not have the data in front of me of how deep
it was, but most in that area are in the depth range of 3.5 miles.
My sons do not work on the weekends, so they accompanied me
to the plant. My oldest son has an "all wheel drive" vehicle which
helped tremendously. We were able to negotiate the hill that leads up to
the Main Dam. However, we did not drive across the spillway and on to
the Saddle Dam. We walked.
With the help of my sons, we did a very thorough walkdown
of both dams. I can assure you that there has been no movement and the
dams are fine. I will continue to monitor both dams through out the
