RE North Lake Dam -- City of Dallas ApprovalKen,
I was curious if there had been any updates on the purchase and
therefore any timeline on going out for bids. It looked very close there
for a while, but I haven’t heard anything lately.
Thanks,
John

We’ll be glad to discuss and incorporate any comments you have. My
understanding is that the City of Dallas does not have a timeline of
their own and will be ready to respond whenever they receive this letter
and are comfortable with the project.
Thanks.

I didn’t see any issue with the letter, with the exception of the fact
that we have not approved the plans. We are in the process of making
comments on the specifications and have some questions on the plans. We
should be in a position to go over these comments in the next week or
so. Is there a timeline that Dallas has for the letter?

Good morning, Ken-
I met with Mr. Hamid Fard with the City of Dallas on May 2, 2013. At
this meeting, I provided Mr. Fard with a copy of the plans and
specifications for the North Lake Spillway Modifications. After
discussing the project, Mr. Fard requested that the City of Coppell send
a letter to the City of Dallas affirming a number of statements
regarding the construction of the modifications. I have drafted up such
a letter on your behalf further describing my meeting with Mr. Fard and
detailing the specific statements he requested. Also note that the
letter is addressed to Mr. Lloyd Denman, who is Mr. Fard’s director, as
per his request.
It is my understanding from that meeting that the City of Dallas will
likely issue a letter of no objection to the construction and a building
permit will not be necessary.
Please feel free to make any changes to the attached letter you may
deem necessary, and I will be glad to answer any questions you may have.
Thank you.
