Michael,
I'll have Glenn Hollowell, our Public Works
Manager meet you out there. He knows more about that station, and
pumping in general than I do. I've copied him on this email, so
hopefully he will respond with a time he is available.

Michael,
The pumps at the intake structure have
not run for many years. I don't even know if they will run, so I don't
think we can run them for you on Monday. We can certainly meet out
there for you to evaluate the station.
As I stated in my previous email, we
have an agreement in place with the Billingsley Company, and the change
order with AW will be presented for approval at our City Council meeting
on Tuesday. We expect Council will approve this CO.
I will send you an official notification
of approval of the CO on Wednesday morning with copies of the document
for your signatures. I have no objection to you beginning work at this
time, but the official direction to proceed will come on Wednesday.
Thanks.

Keith,
Please send me something in writing
telling us to proceed with pumping the lake through the 42” line into
the elm fork of the trinity river. I would like to get all of this
installed next week but I need an approval from you.
Also, I would like to run the river
pumps at the intake structure and fill the 42” line and then turn off
the pumps and verify that all of the water drains back into the river.
I have been told that this is how the lake was drained a few years ago
but I would like to verify before we install our pump. Looking at the
profile, the line drops from elevation 501’ at North Lake to around 437’
at the trinity so it should work without a problem. Can we set this up
for first thing Monday morning?
