above that. The final nail in the coffin of the siphoning idea as far as
I can tell. I assume they meet monthly and that delay would be enough,
before even worrying about the environmental issues they brought up.

Sorry I wasn’t able to respond yesterday. We don’t have any
environmental information available and likely don’t have time to
develop it. We wouldn’t be impacting any homes or commercial interests
through the siphoning process.
I understand your concerns, but the added constraints in addition to
what has already been inserted by the City of Irving have made the
siphoning alternative difficult and possible impractical. The 20 cfs
limit severely reduces the benefit to the various parties because the
timeframe needed to draw down the lake is likely 6 to 7 months. We are
currently reinvestigating other options and will get back with you if
the decision is made to continue pursuing the siphoning alternative. We
appreciate your assistance and will let you know how things proceed.

John, our board of directors met tonight and there is additional
information and effort that we will need before allowing dewatering into
IFCD III waterways.
We need environmental information. Water testing results and any other
information that you can provide. There is also a concern about what
else…i.e fish and mussels that could be transferred from that waterway
into ours.
The board would like an on site walkthrough and explanation of how the
process would work and they want a presentation to the board at their
next board meeting so that they can decide on whether to allow it or
not. Also a schedule of how long you project the effort to take. Overall
the integrity of the IFCD III waterways is at the forefront and we all
want to insure that we are covering all bases.
The board also will want the District to be reimbursed for legal review
costs and public relation efforts to inform the community of what is
going on. We will supply you with an estimate on those items asap.
