Steve Jones, AIA Project Manager Billingsley Co. / Cell: 214-676-7451 From: Steve Jones Sent: Friday, October 17, 2014 10:25 AM To: Bill Walker; Henry Billingsley Cc: Tom Holland Subject: CW - Dam Lowering Project - Cattle Issue Michael Suarez (PM for Archer Western) called to inform me they are seeding the areas of earth they have worked and have concerns the cows will eat & trample the new growth as it comes out of the ground. He requested the cattle be removed to kept them off and away from their sites. I told him James Lockridge is out though next week and is the guy who has handles these matters. Suarez then asked that I inform you of their request. FYI… RPM has been having problems with the cattle eating the streamers on their Lake Edge Development survey stakes and pulling the stakes out of the ground in the process. They have had to resurvey & stake the Lake Edge several times due to this continuing problem. We will have the same issue with newly planted landscape along the Lake’s Edge when Guy starts his work is a few weeks. We may need to consider fencing off our construction sites and/or landscaped areas, if the cattle are not going to be moved, and if fencing is the decision it needs to be done now while the lake level is down, so when it comes back up the fence line runs out & dies into the lake. Dealing with any cows that might swim-in to the fenced off landscaped areas may be the least problematic situation to deal with. In this regard, we should set up a planning meeting with James for when he gets back from elk hunting to develop an AG Master Plan that’s based on our current and near future projects: Lake Edge Development, Parsons Green, and Olympus, which impact most of the South side of the lake. AG Meetings to review & update the AG Master Plan could be scheduled on a quarterly basis thereafter. Your thoughts? H.
