As of today, we’ve spoken with a handful of interested contractors.
Plan sets have been purchased by Jay Mills Construction, Mario Sinacola
& Sons, North Texas Contracting, and Shirley and Sons Construction.
We’ve also spoken with Archer Western who had already downloaded the
plans and specs from BidSync.
We will also send the following brief notice to DCI Contracting, Eagle
Construction, and R.E. Monks Construction:

The City of Coppell is accepting bids for Q-1113-02, Modifications to
North Lake Dam and Spillway – Project No. DR 11-01. The work shall
consist of the lowering of North Lake approximately 15 to 17 feet,
excavation of 70,800 c.y. of material, placement of 62,700 c.y. of clay
fill, installation of 1,200 c.y. of reinforced concrete for a new
spillway and placement of about 9,600 c.y. of rock riprap, and all
appurtenant work necessary to complete construction of the project.

We’re confirming with the various plan houses that they’ve picked up
the bid advertisement. We’re also compiling a list of contractors and

With this project, we would like you to take the lead on the
project description, and any schedule and method description you feel
appropriate. We can have a projector available if you wish to do a
power point presentation. With the site visit scheduled immediately
following, that may not be necessary though.
The city will cover the format and timing of the bid submittal.
