Ken Griffin ViaFax: 304-3673 City Engineer City of' Coppell 255 Parkway Boulevard Coppell, Texas 75019 Subject: The Enclaves on the Parkway ~- Early Building Permit Release Dear Ken, I would like to request the release of building permits for the Enclaves on the Parkway once we have completed the utility and paving work on site. As you know, we are still working on a means to address the channel area southeast of the project. Bill Anderson and I have met with several other contractors and are discussing various alternatives that wi]] meet the design and budget requirements of the City. I hope to have this resolved within the next two weeks. Our contractor working on the wall is making reasonable progress but, of course, the cha~lne] walls cannot be completed without first completing the drainage work in the channel On Monday, Larry Davis and I discussed the possibility of finaling the utilities and paving and releasing the project for building permits, but not allowing any certificates of occupancy until ali of the work related to the channel is completed. Naturally, we would submit the as-built subdivision plans and pay any fees that are due upon final acceptaslce of the subdivision at the time we final the on site utilities and paving. If this arrangement is acceptable to you, we would be agreeable to the City's withholding certificates of occupancy until the channel work is completed. We have spoken with our builder, Huntington Homes, and they think it will take at least ninety days for them to complete their homes and be ready for a certificate of occupaz~cy. ] cam~ot foresee any reason that we cannot have the channel work completed within forty-five days. Ken, thank you for your consideration. If this arrangement is acceptable please let me know so that I can work with Larry and Carreth on finaling the utilities and paving. / K~~"~]~~Sincerely. eit ~ Jackso~ xc: Mr. David Blom, WPC-Parkway Development Corp.
