STAFF COMMENTS:
Bid # Q-1195-02 for the Village Parkway Pump Station Improvements closed on
Thursday, December 21, 1995, at 2:00 p.m. Bids were received from seven (7) firms.
Staff reviewed the bids and selected the low bidder as a qualified bidder capable of
performing all requirements of this project (See Consultants reco~eendation
attached). This project is one identified as part of the 1994 Water System Master
Plan. The total cost of the project increased from its original estimates due to
the addition of disinfection facilities that had to be added to meet state
disinfection requirements.

EXPLANATION:
Staff recommends awarding Bid #Q-1195-02 to North Texas Municipal
Construction Company, Inc. of Dallas, Texas in the amount of
$933,000.00 and authorizing the Mayor to sign.
