COMPANY SAFETY POLICY

ARTICLE I. POLICY
It is the policy of the company to provide a Healthy and Safe place of employment for all
employees: to abide by all regulations as they pertain to our "Industry" which are set forth in
Federal, State and Local Standards, and Good Practice as dictated by locations and
circumstances.
ARTICLE II. LISTED AND REQUIRED RESPONSIBILITIES:
A. MANAGEMENT IS:
1. Providing the means to accomplish policy as stated above.
2. Enforcing this policy and will discharge any employee willfully disregarding it.
3. Requiring all sub-contractors to abide by this policy.
4. Encouraging all other prime contractors to abide by this policy and document any
violations for future reference.
5. Conducting safety inspections and file reports.
6. Investigating any cause and/or all accidents and file full reports on each.
7. Establishing procedures for treatment of injuries.
8. Establishing and providing safety training for personnel.
B. JOB FOREMAN WILL:
1. See that the entire safety program is carried out at the work level.
2. Make sure that the men commit no unsafe practice.
3. Make sure that no unsafe conditions exist in their work area.
4. Make sure that necessary protective equipment is on hand and used.
5. Instruct all men in safe procedures and job safety requirements --- follow up and insist
on compliance.
6. Discuss safety in personal contacts with men on every operation.
7. See that all injuries are cared for properly and reported promptly.
8. Investigate all accidents; file complete reports; and correct the causes immediately.
9. Be familiar with the laws pertaining to Safety and their basic requirements.
C. ALL WORKMEN WILL:
1. Work according to good safety practices as posted, instructed and discussed.
2. Refrain from any unsafe act that might endanger himself or his fellow workmen.
3. Use all safety devices provided for his protection.
4. Report any unsafe situation or act to his supervisor or Safety Man immediately.
5. Assume his share of responsibility for thoughtless or deliberate acts that cause injury to
himself or his fellow workmen.
6. Be safe workman off the job as well as on.

The safety officer also covers work site hazard analysis with all new employees.
Job-Site Inspection
The safety officer reviews all job sites on a regular basis to insure compliance with safety
standards.
Equipment maintenance
All pieces of equipment are inspected on a weekly basis for minor repairs. Once a year,
during company shut down, all pieces of equipment are inspected bumper to bumper by a
mechanic for major overhauls.

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:
Due to the nature of a Traffic Signal project,there is very little excavated material
generated from the drill shaft foundations and trenching of conduits. Materials from
trenching will be backfilled the same day. Any excess material from foundations will be
removed from the jobsite within three work days. Our work will be in compliance with
the terms and conditions of the Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan developed under
the NPDES Storm Water permit.
