Re: 24" Crosstown Waterline
Dear Mr. McLean:
Pursuant to your April °'5, 1989 letter requesting the use of your
JD 690 track hoe, in lieu of rubber tired equipment, for the
installation and' ditch compaction of Line "B", we have no
objection. However, the use of pads and/or timbers or any other
necessities to insure that there be no possible contact to the
street or curb and gutter, and to ensure full protection to all
pavement surfaces, as stated in your letter must be adhered to at
all times. Should this piece of equipment not perform to the
satisfaction of the Owner and the Engineer, you may be required
to change the means and methods being used and no claim for
additional compensation shall be allowed.
Should you have any questions, please contact us.

Re: 24" CrosstownWaterline
Dear Mr. Favre:
With reference to Item ~0,.Addendum No. 2 of the Project Specifications
we submit to you the following: ~
~t only due to the weight of the 24" pipe being installed but in order
to give the owner a more complete and better compaction of the ditch we propose
a modification to allow us to use our JD 690 track hoe for the pipe installation
and ditch compaction on Line "B". We propose to use pads and/or timbers or
any other necessities to insure that there be no possible contact to the street
or curb and gutter, and to ensure full protection to all pavement surfaces.
Sincerely,
McLean Constntction, Inc.
