To maintain compliance with the development standards of Floodplain Management Ordinance #2001-952 and to eliminate or minimize flood damage potential to the proposed development, you are hereby directed to construct your proposed development in accordance with the following special provisions: (/ Compliance with the development standards of Floodplain Management Ordinance #2001-952 including but not limited to: • For residential structures, the lowest floor (including basement) must be elevated to two (2) feet above the 100- year base flood elevation or one (1) foot above ultimate condition whichever is higher. Certification of the lowest floor must be submitted from a registered professional engineer, architect, or land surveyor. • For non-residential structures, the lowest floor (including basement) must be elevated or flood-proofed to two (2) feet above the 100-year base flood elevation or one (1) foot above ultimate condition whichever is higher. Certification that the flood-proofing methods are adequate to withstand the flood depths, pressure, velocities, impact and uplift forces and other factors associated with the base flood must be submitted from a registered professional engineer or architect. • For fill activities, the permittee must submit certification from a registered professional engineer or land surveyor that the level of the compacted fill materials is at or above the elevation of the Base Flood.
