Subject: Freeport Parkway - Time Request
Michael;
th
As you are aware, the W.O.D. of August 5 was issued on the above mentioned project. As you are also aware, we have
encountered numerous delays. On Aug. 7, we received the revised Sani. Sewer Plans and then we were able to stake out
the line. This was a loss of 4 days. Unable to work on the water line until the subgrade, parkway and channel dirt work
from 100’ on each side of the channel was completed due to excess dirt. This resulted in lost time from Aug. 27 until
Sept. 11, resulting in a 16 day loss (an email from Rick on 9/28/15 was sent stating the conflict).
Due to the requirement for additional shoring behind Wall “A”, IBC’s schedule has been impacted by 80 calendar days.
IBC had discussed the requirement for shoring in the Sept. meeting with City of Coppell, Earth Basic and Tiseo. Referring
to the mass excavation required for wall. It was also discussed that there was an item for shoring and what was
required, due to the existing utilities could be established in the field. IBC agreed in the meeting to start the wall at the
north end, as no shoring was needed for the first 5 panels. IBC completed all concrete work available on 12/7/15. Had
shoring been approved initially, all walls would currently be complete. Multiple incremental delays have occurred, due
to the building the wall in pieces, in lieu of an A to B linear fashion. Upon completion of the temporary shoring, 65
working days are still required for IBC to finish the remaining work not including the stone veneer placement.
