Re: Thoroughfare Plan Amendment - Gateview Drive
Fellowship of Las Colinas Development
Dear Mr. Griffin:
I am requesting a thoroughfare amendment to eliminate the extension of Gateview Drive to
S.H.-121 Service Road. A cul-de-sac complying with the City of Coppell design standards is
proposed at the west end of the existing road. The amendment will allow the construction of
the church buildings in the proposed location as shown on the attached exhibit.
Gateview Drive is not shown on the City of Grapevine thoroughfare plan and Grapevine has
no requirements for the road to be extended to the west. The State Department of
Transportation has not included a fly over or bridge for Gateview Drive to cross S.H.-121;
therefore, the road would have to be terminated at the service road which has limited access.
The concept plan for the Phase I development of the church is shown on the attached exhibit.
Please place this request on the agenda of the last Council meeting in January.
